Touch the diya to awaken
ATHMANVESHI ORIGINALS
ದೇಹವೇ ದೇಗುಲ, ಮನವೇ ನಾದ
The body is the temple, the breath is the sound.
Manifesto
Athmanveshi (ಆತ್ಮಾನ್ವೇಷಿ) means “the seeker of the inner self”: Atma, the self, and Anveshi, the one who inquires. These songs are not devotion to a distant sky. They are a mirror held up to the mind.
We turn away from superstition, idol-appeasement and fear-based dogma, and ask plainer, harder questions. The body is the temple. The consciousness within is the sound.
Ritual for ritual’s sake, fear, and borrowed answers.
Who observes the mind? Who is it that breathes?
In Kannada for the soil, in Hindi for the bridge.
ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಭಾಷೆ
Tatvapada keeps its rustic, colloquial bite only in Kannada, the language of the soil it grew from.
The Nirguni Bridge
Hindi carries the same inner truth to the north, where Kabir and Gorakhnath sing it.
ದೇಹವೇ ದೇಗುಲ, ಮನವೇ ನಾದ
Not a prayer to an external sky, but an inquiry into the breath within.

The cross-regional connector: Hindi acoustic re-imaginings and introspective verses that join the southern Tatvapada worldview with the Nirguni and Sufi-Bhakti poetry of Kabir and Bulleh Shah, exploring non-duality (Advaita) and mindfulness.

The Seeker
Athmanveshi (ಆತ್ಮಾನ್ವೇಷಿ), “the seeker of the inner self”, is an independent musician and creator from Chitradurga, Karnataka. The work is rooted in Karnataka’s Tatvapada and the 12th-century Vachana tradition (Shishunala Sharifa, Allama Prabhu, Helavanakatte Giriyamma), joined with the Nirguni currents of Kabir and Gorakhnath.
It is not conventional devotionalism. The music is a contemplative mirror that asks who observes the mind, where the ego dissolves when the breath stops, and why we decorate a perishable fortress while staying blind to the one who breathes within.
Kannada carries the native grit of that tradition, which cannot be translated without losing its fire. Hindi bridges to Kabir and the Nirguni poets, who speak the same truth in the north. Two languages, one inquiry.
Sound
Grounding, organic textures: a meditative tanpura drone often tuned to C♯ (138.59 Hz), acoustic strings, and soft heartbeat-like pulses. Songs are released on YouTube and on Spotify, Apple Music and other platforms as Trinetra / Athmanveshi Originals.
Symbols
The flickering diya is the spark of awareness. The blooming golden lotus is what opens when we look within. The clay vessel, the ghata, is the fragile body that holds something far larger than itself.
